I Am My Body, NOT! is a collaboration of two parents. It was written, designed, and published by Sacramento, CA-based author Adam Abraham (A Freed Man: An Emancipation Proclamation), and illustrated by Marie Litster from British Columbia, Canada.

In a charming literary and visual presentation, I Am My Body, NOT! suggests in no uncertain terms that "we" are something other than what we appear to be. It allows adults -- including parents, teachers, guardians and some developmental therapists -- to broach several common, but quite important and sometimes sensitive subjects with youngsters, such as:

• the concept of "helping"... e.g.., family, friends, and others
• measuring people by the goodness of their hearts instead of the color of their skin
• promoting positive self-esteem
• the importance of care for the body, and for each other
• the power and importance of our choices
• the death of the body, but not the being
