 The Season of Gratitude
by Adam Abraham

Thanksgiving is an important time of the year, for at its core is the spirit of gratitude. While much emphasis is placed on the "giving" portion of the term, true thanksgiving involves acknowledgment for the bountiful or advantageous favor -- large and small -- that we have received. This is the essence of what gratitude is about, and why it is important.

While I don't want to sound alarmist, it appears that Thanksgiving is in danger of being overshadowed. Not that it's being forgotten, but merchandisers seem so intent on extending the year-end buying season -- under the pretext of "the holidays" -- that we're starting to see Christmas-themed ads appear right after Holloween.

 Lesson of the Chi Master
by Glenda Johnson

My Chi' Master, a sweet 83 years young Oriental man, weighing in at about 100 pounds and standing 4'11" tall, conducted a class in which he showed us how to give our love energy unconditionally to everyone, even to an attacker. He made it look so easy, but I just couldn't get it. He was showing us how to stay centered while letting chi flow.

In other words, “resist not evil.” By giving love energy, not resisting in any way or sending out signals of fear energy, he said the Chi continues to flow in harmony and we can tap into that very simply.

As he explained it he was allowing his energy to join with his attacker's energy in such away as to allow the attacker to be thrown over his head. Each time the attacker, who was a young male about 6'2" and weighing over 200 came at Master Que he leaned toward him, smiled and appeared to brighten his aura, giving his full attention to allowing the attacker to do his best, but easily took the man by the wrist at which point the attacker sailed high over his head and about five feet behind him (landing on the practice mats). At this point Master Que could have left the scene, but he simple turned and bowed giving the man even more of his attention.

Do We Really 'Create' Our Reality?
by Adam Abraham

It may be the most liberating idea that we can learn, and the most perplexing. To many, the concept that we "create our reality" still qualifies as a "new" and in some ways, hard to fathom idea. It's easy for one to have doubts. But then, those who are convinced that we create our reality would quickly say that doubt is one of the chief causes of experiences that support one's inability to "see," or acknowledge the connection.

Anyone who has spent more than a few of the earth's revolutions around the sun will have already had experiences that would be hard to understand how or why anyone would "create". But does that disprove the notion that we are "reality creators?"

Chapter Excerpt: Land of the Freed
[From "A Freed Man: An Emancipation Proclamation" written by Adam Abraham ISBN 0970020902]

For many generations, the United States of America has been known around the world as “the land of the free and the home of the brave.”

Look at us now.

In many instances we’ve become the land of the jaded, unable, resentful, mistreated, and now, fearful. Instead of calling it “the breakfast of champions,” it might now be more appropriate to refer to Wheaties as “the breakfast of chumps,” for some Americans now see themselves as powerless and can actually make a handsome living by whining about it. Such is the perversity and profundity of freedom.

Confrontations (1980)

Confrontations
What are they to me . . . . . . .
Man always loses . . . . Can’t he see?
It takes more than a man
To win against the ironclad
Star enfated
Chained to futility destiny.

Confrontations of man against his friend
Is man at odds with his vibration-tuned
Harmonious and kindly self.
Man always loses . . . . . . .
Doesn’t he know,
Who always wins in the end?
It is the nameless totality
The immeasureable
Ever-changing
Omni-On.

Fresh Thought Vol. 1 No. 3 is published by Adam Abraham and Phaelos Books, and is based on the belief that (1) we are creators of our life experience, (2) life transformation is possible for all, (3) abundant living is the result of abundant thinking and feeling, and (4) there's enough abundance to go around through self-creation without "taking away" someone else's.

Fresh Though is about transformation: the birthright, power, and responsibility of each individual, irrespective of racial, ethnic, gender, religious, economic, national, or political orientation.

If you like where this is going, then please do two things: (1) give us your feedback, (2) forward a copy of this e-zine to others, and (3) encourage them to join.
