A
Race and Religion Neutral 'Playing Field'
I Am My Body, NOT! respects
all people of all nations, cultures and ethnicities, but sees only one
race; i.e., human. As such, all power that is afforded one human being
is available -- with the right preparation, mentality, attitude and
training -- to another, regardless of their particular group affiliation.
The children in the illustrations are intentionally depicted the same
"color"-- shade of the paper -- as a way of affirming the
unseen "tie" that binds us all. More.

A
Fear Free Introduction to Death
More so even than taxes, death is a subject that will
touch each and every human being at some point in our lifetime. How
death is presented to children can be of critical import to their psychological
development and well-being. I Am My Body, NOT! does
not attempt to offer an "authorative" answer the question
as to where we go after our body dies, nor does it insinuate a conflicting
point of view with respect to most religions. However, the book does
suggest in the affirmative, that life is a continuum, and that the death
of the body is not an end to life. More.

The
Vocabulary Power Builder
Instead of attempting to "talk down" to
the reader, I Am My Body, NOT! is written
using words and terminology that children will eventually need to understand
as adults. The earlier such words are heard -- even if not initially
understood -- the earlier they can be embraced, synthesized, and comprehended
into one's personal language repertiore.
To further support the reader in word comprehension,
a color-coded and cross-referenced glossary of terms, which we call
the Vocabulary Power Builder, is included at the back of the book.
More.
