Our 'Phaelosophy'

The term PHAELOS (fy-los) is derived from the Greek, philos which means brotherhood, fondness, and love. We believe that phaelos is a natural quality and expression of humanity that, for various reasons (mostly the lack of practice and unwillingness to do so), is under-expressed in our society. While there may be countless reasons to hate, there are no good reasons to do so. Yet, under the worst of conditions, there are always good reasons to love. There are reasons for this. These are clues to our growth, both as individual human beings, and as humanity.

As such, Phaelos Books & Mediawerks is inspired by a vision of, and desire to create a better world made possible by conscious, loving choice, supported by intelligent action — one mind and heart at a time — through balanced doses of self-reliance and interdependency between and among people. As it grows, Phaelos will bring forth new human-centered minds, voices and visions through books, music, video, film, the Internet and merchandising.
